ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Mauro. I am an award winning portrait and family documentary photographer based in London. I’m married to my wonderful wife Elisa and we have a 8 years old daughter, Matilde.

I have a Master Degree in Economics and before becoming a professional photographer in 2020, I had a long managerial career in multinational travel organizations.

My approach to photography is photojournalistic and I love to create family stories by photographing real aspects of every-day life in a meaningful and artistic way.

My images are always taken in the most spontaneous and relaxed way which allows me to capture the children’s unique personalities and the way they express their thoughts, their feelings and the connections with their parents and their siblings to create an artistic representation of life in the household.

My work has been selected by The Historic England Archive as one of the 100 images of the 'Picturing Lockdown' collection and I have recently won the prestigious 'Portrait of Britain' 2021 by the British Journal of Photography.

I create family heirlooms, a legacy of love to be passed onto future generations.

If you're interested in me being your family photographer, feel free to get in touch for a chat and, why not, a cup of coffee too.
